i originally started this rainbow to be the back of a project bag for a swap at my guild’s december 2023 meeting. then i got covid and couldn’t go. into The Pile it went. finished as a mini quilt in 2025, using fancy iridescent thread in 1/4″ intervals for the rainbow. the white parts are meant to look fluffy and cloudlike.

my mom suffered what turned out to be a fatal breathing incident about two weeks after I made the below quilt for my friend. during the week she was in the hospital, the sunflowers in her garden bloomed. she never got to see them.

I made this quilt specifically for the call for cat quilts for the Quiltfolk Cats issue. It hangs next to one of Boba’s favorite napping spots. He is unimpressed with my work.
