50/52: Travel sketchbook – Iceland (#34)

When I was in college, my department would draw names to do Secret Santa style gift giving at the end of each semester. One time our department head had my name, and she gave me a small sketchbook. It’s leatherbound and filled with handmade paper, because she said she had never seen someone who drew quite as much as I did. I don’t buy leather things, but I couldn’t possibly refuse a sweet gift. Its size makes it perfect for taking on trips, so over the past few years I’ve brought it along to various places. Here are some drawings from Iceland.

50/52: Finished sketchbook (#32)

I posted a whole lot of scans from my sketchbook already.. But I finally finished out the first volume of the year! I think that filling out every page deserves a spot in the 50 crafts roundup. It was a really nice handmade sketchbook, too!

I’m already about 3/4 of the way through my second book of the year.

Finally finished the first sketchbook of the year. I used to kill three a year, but I think I’ll only make it to two this year.

I don’t know why I keep writing down all the titles of the books on my nightstand. Some of them have been there for years.
