Maxi-length Alabama Chanin wrap skirt for my cousin's oldest daughter. The fabric is a slightly sparkly solid from the Doodles line at Jo-Ann.

It's so good that I enjoy all this hand sewing. These pushed my garment count for the year up to nineteen.

  1. Great work! I have also tried making that Alabama Chanin cardigan but I don’t like the neckline (on myself), I’m going to try and re-draft it and try again. Lovely presents though!

  3. Hi Jane, I find it’s a relaxed fit. I had already made a few pieces from the fitted t-shirt pattern in size XL, and compared the jacket pattern to that when I chose the size. The shoulder and sleeve cap area of the jacket size L is almost the same as the t-shirt pattern size XL. It’s an open jacket so it’s loose at the waist.
